TODAY’S BLOCKBUSTER QUOTE

The Incredibles

24 September 2026 2004
Square soft-grey editorial card for The Incredibles (2004), featuring Edna Mode’s quote ‘I never look back, darling. It distracts from the now.’, a symbolic monochrome glasses-and-needle illustration, WHY TODAY copy tied to Brad Bird’s 24 September birthday, and a dry closing kicker.

“I never look back, darling. It distracts from the now.”

Edna Mode · Brad Bird

Why today

24 September is Brad Bird’s birthday. Bird directed and wrote The Incredibles, and he also voices Edna Mode. In the scene behind today’s quote, Edna dismisses Bob Parr’s old superhero suit and tells him he needs a new one.

Looking back remains optional.
