coffeetableviz is where Adam Green explores the numbers hiding inside sport, film, culture and everyday life.

Adam is a BI Director and Tableau Social Ambassador. He spends his working life helping people understand data, then comes here to make charts about the things people discuss around a coffee table.

The rule

Every story should earn its chart. The data is checked, the visual is deliberately simple and the writing gets to the point.

How it works

The dataset, analysis, chart configuration, rendered output and finished article all live together in GitHub. That means a chart is not just an image: its source and decisions remain attached.

This prototype is the first step in bringing the coffeetableviz archive into that same system.
